The Brazilian airline GOL Linhas Aéreas announced this Wednesday a significant expansion of its operations in Argentina. With new routes, increased frequencies, and enhancements to the passenger experience, the company is strengthening its presence in the Argentine market, benefiting both tourists and business travelers.
Expansion in Connectivity between Brazil and Argentina
With a commitment of over 20 years to Argentina, GOL has significantly expanded its flight offerings between the two countries. The airline operates in four cities and five Argentine airports: Aeroparque and Ezeiza in Buenos Aires, Mendoza, Córdoba, and Rosario. From these points, passengers can fly non-stop to 13 Brazilian cities in various regions of the country.
According to Mateus Pongeluppi, Vice President of Strategy at GOL, “this expansion of flight offerings, routes, destinations, and seats contributes to the development of tourism, logistics, and business in both countries, in addition to strengthening our international operations.”

New Routes and Frequencies for 2025
Buenos Aires
GOL will increase seat capacity by 60% on flights to the Argentine capital, reaching up to 16 daily flights from 13 Brazilian cities. Aeroparque will feature new connections to Porto Alegre, Brasília (BSB), Belo Horizonte/Confins, Florianópolis, Fortaleza, Rio de Janeiro/Galeão, São Paulo/Guarulhos, Natal, Recife, and Salvador. Meanwhile, Ezeiza will offer direct flights to Rio de Janeiro, Florianópolis, Porto Seguro, Brasília, Maceió, Fortaleza, and João Pessoa.
Córdoba
Starting April 2, the airline will double its capacity on the Córdoba — Rio de Janeiro route, increasing from four weekly flights to daily flights. Additionally, direct flights to São Paulo/Guarulhos will resume with three weekly frequencies.
Rosario
Seat availability will increase by 10% on the Rosario — Rio de Janeiro route, offering up to three weekly flights in each direction.
Bariloche
During the winter season, from July 2 to August 29, GOL will offer exclusive direct flights between San Carlos de Bariloche and São Paulo/Guarulhos. This route will have three weekly frequencies: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, facilitating access to one of the most sought-after snow destinations for Brazilian tourists.
Modern Fleet and Premium Experience
Flights between Brazil and Argentina will be operated with Boeing 737 aircraft, configured to carry up to 176 passengers in their international version. Additionally, the airline offers the option to travel in GOL Premium Economy, which includes:
- More legroom and seat recline.
- Blocked middle seat for added comfort.
- Two pieces of checked luggage at no extra cost.
- Exclusive onboard service with hot meals.
- Extra mileage accumulation in the Smiles loyalty program.

The Smiles loyalty program allows passengers to accumulate and redeem miles on over 1,600 global destinations. GOL’s direct flights to Argentina are available on the Smiles platform, allowing purchases with cash, miles, or a combination of both through the Smiles & Money option. Additionally, Smiles Viagens, the GOL group’s travel operator, offers exclusive packages for travelers looking to explore Argentina.
