TAP Air and Avianca Inaugurate New VIP Lounge at Miami Airport
TAP Air Portugal and Avianca have opened the doors to their new shared VIP Lounge at Miami International Airport, marking the Portuguese airline’s first lounge outside its home country.
Located in the South Terminal, near gate J4, the new 600-square-meter space offers comfort and privacy to passengers flying from Miami, with a capacity for up to 337 people. The lounge operates 24 hours a day, ensuring continuous access to its facilities.
Top-Tier Services for a Superior Experience
The lounge has been designed to maximize traveler comfort, offering a wide selection of food and snacks, as well as hot and cold beverages. Passengers can enjoy culinary options that include Portuguese specialties such as the traditional pastéis de nata, along with a selection of wines, including red wine, green wine, and Port wine.
The facilities also feature modern restrooms with showers, high-speed Wi-Fi, relaxation areas, and workspaces. Additionally, a children’s play area has been included so that younger travelers can also unwind before their flight.

“Our first lounge outside Portugal brings a touch of our country to Miami,” said Sofia Lufinha, Chief Customer Officer of TAP. “Here, with all the comforts of an Executive Class lounge, our customers can enjoy their favorite meals and drinks, always with a hint of Portuguese flair.”
Access and Eligibility
This exclusive lounge is available to TAP, Avianca, and Star Alliance passengers traveling in First Class and Business Class. It is also accessible to TAP Miles&Go Navigator and Gold members, as well as LifeMiles Gold and Diamond customers, and eligible Star Alliance Gold status holders.
Additionally, the lounge accepts Priority Pass and offers day passes, subject to availability and capacity.
