Tips for a Smooth Travel Experience
Avianca also shared key recommendations to help travelers enjoy a seamless experience during this high-demand period:
Check Your Flight Status
Passengers can receive real-time notifications about any itinerary changes via email and WhatsApp. Additionally, the Avianca app and website allow travelers to check updates directly.
Digital and Self-Service Check-In
To streamline the process, passengers are advised to check in online up to 48 hours before their flight (24 hours for flights to or from the U.S., Puerto Rico, or Canada) and manage reservations through available digital channels.
Arrive Early
Travelers should arrive at the airport at least 3 hours before international flights and 2 hours before domestic flights.
Ensure Proper Documentation
It is essential to review the destination country’s requirements, including valid passports, visas, and vaccination certificates if applicable.
Review Baggage Policies
Avoid additional fees by checking what type of baggage is included in your fare. Additionally, remember that devices with lithium batteries (such as phones, cameras, tablets, and power banks) must be carried in the cabin, not in checked luggage, for safety reasons.
