Air Century Launches Santo Domingo-Bonaire Route, Boosting Regional Connectivity

The Dominican airline Air Century has inaugurated its new route between Santo Domingo and Bonaire. In coordination with Bonaire International Airport and the Bonaire Tourism Corporation (TCB), this new service enhances regional connectivity by offering an affordable option for travelers, whether for leisure, business, or visiting loved ones.

Inaugural Flight with Authorities and Media Onboard

The first flight departed at 8:30 AM from La Isabela International Airport, Dr. Joaquín Balaguer, bound for Bonaire International Airport. Onboard were Air Century executives, representatives from media outlets, and travel agencies, all partaking in a historic milestone for Dominican commercial aviation.

Upon landing in Bonaire, the aircraft was greeted with a special ceremony organized by the TCB. Elesiër Angel, CEO of the Bonaire Tourism Corporation, and Maarten Van der Scheer, Director of Bonaire International Airport, led the welcoming delegation.

During the inaugural event, Carlos Jiménez, Executive Vice President of Air Century, emphasized: “At Air Century, we believe in flying with purpose and passion. Our expansion to Bonaire reflects the trust our passengers place in us and our commitment to safe, efficient, and comfortable service.”

Frequency, Availability, and Aircraft Type

Starting June 18, Air Century will operate a weekly flight every Wednesday, specifically during peak summer and winter seasons. The service is operated by an aircraft with a 50-passenger capacity, ensuring operational efficiency without compromising comfort.

Tickets are now available for booking, including promotional fares for those eager to take advantage of this new travel option in the Caribbean.
