Boeing Accelerates Deliveries in August: 57 Aircraft
Boeing reported this Tuesday that it delivered 57 aircraft in August, up from 48 in July. This marks the highest figure for the month since 2018, when the U.S. manufacturer reached 64 units.
At this pace, the company has delivered a total of 385 aircraft through August 31, 2025, already surpassing the full-year total for 2024, which stood at 348. Last year, operations were affected by a seven-week strike in Seattle that began in September, reducing production.
Its European competitor Airbus delivered 61 aircraft in August, bringing its annual total to 434.
Most In-Demand Models
In August, Boeing delivered 42 units of the 737 MAX, including seven to low-cost carrier Ryanair and six to United Airlines.
Additionally, it delivered 14 wide-body aircraft: nine 787 Dreamliners, four 777s, and one 767.

The Chinese market also played a significant role, with nine deliveries during the month, including six 737 MAX and two 787-9 aircraft.
Orders and Backlog
On the commercial front, Boeing recorded 26 gross orders in August. The most notable was an order for 14 777-9 aircraft from Cathay Pacific.
The company also finalized contracts for five 737 MAX and seven 787 Dreamliner aircraft.
In contrast, two 737 MAX orders were canceled.
Year-to-Date Order Summary
From January through August 2025, Boeing accumulated 725 gross orders, with 46 cancellations and conversions. After accounting adjustments, the official order backlog reached 5,994 aircraft.
