Wingo to Resume Flights Between Bogotá and Caracas Starting January 16 After Evaluating Operational Environment
Wingo confirmed that it will resume its air operations to and from Caracas starting January 16, 2026, after completing a process of continuous monitoring of the operational environment.
The move marks the end of a temporary suspension that began on December 4, 2025, when the airline decided to halt its flights while assessing operational safety conditions in the Venezuelan market.
Risk Assessment and Institutional Coordination
According to the company, the decision to resume operations was made following a continuous analysis of the operational environment, carried out jointly with local and international authorities. Wingo emphasized that this process was conducted with the highest safety standards as a priority, for both passengers and crew—a key point in markets considered sensitive from an operational standpoint.
Passenger Management During the Suspension
During the interruption period, Wingo indicated that passengers with tickets for affected dates were notified through the channels registered in their bookings. Likewise, the airline allowed these customers to self-manage available protection options, a practice aligned with customer service standards in situations of operational disruption.
Ongoing Monitoring
Wingo stated that it will continue to permanently monitor the operational environment, working hand in hand with the relevant authorities, and that any updates will be communicated in a timely manner through its official channels.
