airBaltic Receives Its 54th Airbus A220-300, Consolidating Its Single-Fleet Model
Last Sunday, the Latvian airline airBaltic received its newest Airbus A220-300, registration YL-BTD, in Riga. This marks the second aircraft delivered in 2026 and the 54th of this model to join the company’s fleet.
With this addition, the airline continues to strengthen a clear and sustained strategy: operating a homogeneous fleet of Airbus A220-300s as the core pillar of its network and business model.
An A220-300 Fleet Powering the Entire airBaltic Network
The new aircraft bolsters the Airbus A220-300 fleet, which currently operates across the company’s entire route network, connecting passengers to a wide variety of destinations in Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and the Caucasus region.
Beyond direct operations, these aircraft are also utilized through cooperation with partners in other European markets via ACMI services. This approach allows the airline to:

In 2025, airBaltic became the first European airline to offer free high-speed SpaceX Starlink internet onboard.
