SKY Airline and Turkish Airlines announced on Monday the signing of a strategic interline agreement. This alliance aims to significantly expand connectivity options for passengers traveling between South America, Europe, Asia, and Africa, integrating the networks of both carriers to provide a more seamless travel experience.
Optimizing Passenger Experience and Global Connectivity
At the core of this agreement, Turkish Airlines will be able to market combined itineraries that include segments operated by SKY Airline. This enables travelers from the Turkish carrier’s extensive international network originating in Istanbul to connect efficiently to various destinations across Chile and Peru.
One of the most significant technical pillars of this alliance is the implementation of through check-in. Thanks to this feature, passengers on combined itineraries will be able to:
- Receive all boarding passes at the start of their journey at the point of origin.
- Simplify procedures at connecting airports.
- Ensure a more agile transition between the flights of both airlines.
Strengthening Routes in Chile and Peru
The agreement is designed to bolster Santiago de Chile and Lima as key passenger distribution hubs. Travelers arriving with Turkish Airlines in the Chilean capital will have immediate access to SKY’s entire domestic network within the country.

In the case of Peru, the agreement strengthens connectivity through strategic routes such as:
- São Paulo – Lima
- Buenos Aires – Lima
From the Peruvian capital, international passengers can continue their journey to high-demand tourist and corporate destinations within the country, such as Cusco and Arequipa, among others. Conversely, passengers starting their journey in Peru or Chile with Turkish Airlines can connect in Istanbul to destinations across six continents.
Julio Solar, SKY Airline’s Routes and Alliances Manager, emphasized that this agreement reinforces regional connectivity by opening new doors to the world through the Istanbul global hub. According to the executive, this alliance not only increases travel alternatives for South Americans but also brings more international tourists to the destinations served by the airline in the region.
“This alliance increases travel alternatives and brings more international passengers closer to the destinations we serve in Chile, Peru, and throughout the region,” Solar noted.
This move adds to other interline agreements that SKY has previously established, consolidating its position as a key player in the Latin American aviation market and reaffirming its capacity to collaborate with global-reach carriers.
