LOT Polish Airlines has inaugurated direct flights between Warsaw-Chopin Airport and San Francisco International Airport. This new transatlantic route not only expands the airline’s North American footprint but also consolidates Warsaw’s position as a critical connection hub for travelers from Central and Eastern Europe.
Strengthening the Transatlantic Network
The addition of San Francisco marks a milestone in LOT’s growth strategy, becoming the airline’s sixth destination in the United States. This market remains one of the company’s most critical long-haul regions, catering to both business and leisure travel demand.
According to Robert Ludera, Board Member and Chief Commercial Officer at LOT, this route represents an investment in a link that connects innovation and global ambition, facilitating commercial partnerships and knowledge exchange between Poland and the U.S. West Coast.

Operational Details and Schedule
The service commenced operations this Wednesday and is initially scheduled to remain available until October 22, 2026. The airline is offering four weekly frequencies under the following operational scheme:
- Flight LO35: Departs Warsaw on Thursdays and Sundays at 11:15.
- Flight LO37: Departs Warsaw on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 17:40.
- Flight LO36 (Return): Departs San Francisco at 15:50 on corresponding operational days.
- Flight LO38 (Return): Departs San Francisco at 22:15.
Onboard Experience: Boeing 787 Dreamliner
The route is operated exclusively by Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, the company’s flagship long-haul fleet. The flight has an approximate duration of 11 hours and 30 minutes, offering passengers the comfort and efficiency standards characteristic of this wide-body model.
With the inauguration of flights to San Francisco, LOT reaffirms its commitment to connecting Central Europe with the world’s primary economic hubs.
