Etihad Airways announced this Tuesday a strategic expansion of its connectivity with France, increasing its service to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport to a twice-daily Airbus A380 operation during the summer season. This enhancement, which complements a third daily flight operated by the Boeing 787-9, positions the French capital as one of the few global destinations to receive two daily operations of the airline’s iconic double-deck aircraft.

Service expansion and premium capacity

From July 1 through October 24, 2026, the airline will significantly strengthen its capacity for both business and leisure passengers. This move responds to strong demand in one of the company’s most significant markets, further reinforcing the global network connecting the United Arab Emirates with Europe, the Indian subcontinent, and Asia.

The configuration of this new schedule allows for the delivery of the signature Etihad flight experience across all cabins, including:

  • The Residence: The only three-room suite in commercial aviation.
  • First Apartments: Exclusive high-end spaces.
  • Business and Economy: Spacious cabins designed for traveler comfort.

Confidence in the European market

Arik De, Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer at Etihad Airways, highlighted that the increase to a twice-daily A380 frequency represents a statement of confidence in the Parisian market. The strategy seeks to offer passengers greater flexibility, whether their final destination is the French capital or if they are using it as a gateway for onward connections to the rest of Europe.

This deployment of the Airbus A380 underscores the airline’s commitment to bringing its flagship product to its highest-traction markets, consolidating Paris as a fundamental pillar within its international growth strategy for the summer season.
