Aerolíneas Argentinas has unveiled a special commemorative livery on one of its aircraft ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The initiative aims to support fans and carry the national identity through the skies before the start of football’s premier tournament.

Ezeiza’s Hangar 5 Sets the Stage for the “Most Argentine Aircraft in the World”

The airline presented the aircraft under the hashtag #ElAvionMasArgentinodelMundo (#TheMostArgentineAircraftInTheWorld) during an event held at Hangar 5 of Ministro Pistarini International Airport (Ezeiza). The design pays direct tribute to the Argentine National Football Team and its captain, incorporating iconic elements of the national squad into the aircraft’s livery.

Technical Details of the Commemorative Design

The aircraft’s visual modification was meticulously planned to align football symbolism with key components of the airframe:

  • The Vertical Stabilizer: Features the number 10 alongside the official Argentine jersey design developed by Adidas. This placement symbolically represents the team’s leadership and on-field direction, directly mirroring the rudder’s function in guiding the aircraft’s heading.
  • The Engine Nacelles: The captain’s armband has been applied to the engines, further reinforcing the concept of leadership.
  • The Three Stars: The design includes three stars to honor the World Cup titles won by the country throughout its history.
