Air Canada has officially opened its new Air Canada Café at Quebec City Jean Lesage International Airport, introducing a dedicated and exclusive lounge experience to the airport’s terminal for the first time. Operated in partnership with Plaza Premium Group, the 97-seat space is designed to offer eligible passengers a modern environment to relax, work, or recharge before their flights, while paying a direct tribute to Quebec City’s heritage, culture, and art de vivre.
This opening marks the seventh Air Canada Café location globally, consolidating the airline’s multi-year investment in modernizing its airport lounges and expanding a premium hospitality concept deeply rooted in local identity.
A Design Inspired by Quebec’s Identity and Art
The new location incorporates Air Canada’s “Glowing Hearted” design philosophy, which aims to create warm, authentically Canadian spaces that reflect the natural and cultural environment of each region. In the case of Quebec, the design balances a refined aesthetic with high-durability materials built for daily operational wear.
The ambiance is complemented by the display of two prominent contemporary artworks by Canadian creators:
- Flow: A vibrant abstract piece in acrylic, oil, and ink on canvas by award-winning abstract artist Antonietta Grassi.
- 1982: A colorful geometric acrylic-on-linen piece developed by visual artist and novelist Douglas Coupland.
“We have created a space that feels like a love letter to the city—warm, quiet, and inspired by its rich and unique character,” said Jacqueline Harkness, Managing Director, Product and Services at Air Canada.
