Farnborough Airshow: Uganda Airlines Places First Direct Order with Boeing for 737 MAX and 787 Dreamliner Jets
At the Farnborough International Airshow, Uganda Airlines announced a landmark order for four Boeing 737-8s and four Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners. The transaction marks the carrier’s first direct aircraft purchase from the American manufacturer.
Designed to meet sustained growth in passenger and cargo demand, the deal underpins the airline’s fleet modernization plan while strengthening Entebbe International Airport’s position as a key East African aviation hub.

The flag carrier currently serves 17 destinations across 13 countries from its main hub at Entebbe.

The agreement goes beyond fleet acquisition, establishing the foundation for a long-term commercial and industrial partnership between the two organizations.
