Avianca Strengthens Its Domestic Network in Ecuador: Opens Ticket Sales for Nonstop Guayaquil–Cuenca Route

Avianca announced on Wednesday that tickets are now on sale for its new nonstop service between Guayaquil and Cuenca, scheduled to begin operations on November 1, 2026. The route will feature one daily flight, reinforcing air connectivity between Ecuador’s coastal and Andean highland regions.

With this new service, the carrier expands travel options between two strategic hubs for economic, industrial, and academic activity in Ecuador, facilitating travel for business, tourism, education, and family visits.

Flight Schedules

The service will operate on a daily frequency in both directions under the following schedule:

  • Guayaquil – Cuenca: Departs at 12:40, arrives at 13:30.
  • Cuenca – Guayaquil: Departs at 11:05, arrives at 11:55.

The nonstop service between Ecuador’s primary port city and the capital of Azuay province will be operated using Airbus A320-family aircraft, configured with 180 seats per flight.

This capacity will add approximately 2,520 weekly seats to the domestic market, providing a scheduled, point-to-point alternative between both cities. Book flights.
