Air France is set to strengthen its North American footprint during the Summer 2027 season with the addition of two new nonstop destinations in the United States: Nashville and San Diego.
For the first time in its history, the French flag carrier will operate direct services to Nashville (Tennessee) and San Diego (California) from its global hub at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport.
Both routes will feature a three-times-weekly frequency and will be operated exclusively by Airbus A350-900 widebody aircraft. With these additions, Air France becomes the sole carrier offering nonstop flights between Paris and both cities, while also standing out as the only airline connecting Nashville directly with mainland Europe.
Flight Schedule and a Special Tribute
The rollout of the new routes will begin in early May 2027 under the following schedule:
- San Diego: Operations will commence on May 3, 2027, operating on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Notably, the Southern California destination is also served by sister carrier KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, with up to three weekly frequencies from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.
- Nashville: The route will launch on May 14, 2027, also operating on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. In tribute to country music icon Dolly Parton—who is deeply rooted in Nashville—the flight will carry flight number AF046, honoring her birth year, 1946.
