Many airlines have begun to reactivate their flights to markets where they operated prior to the pandemic. This restart, in some cases, is being done with smaller aircraft and fewer frequencies.

This is the case of Ukraine International Airlines, which announced the reactivation of its flights between Kyiv airport and New York’s JFK with two weekly frequencies starting on December 9, reported One Mile At a Time.
The curious thing about this announcement is that the route will be operated with a Boeing 737 and the flight is estimated to last approximately 12 hours.

The itinerary will be as follows:
PS231 Kyiv to Keflavik departing 10:00 arriving 13:15.
PS231 Keflavik to New York departing 14:15 arriving 15:35.
PS232 New York to Keflavik departing 22:10 arriving 08:40 (+1 day).
PS232 Keflavik to Kyiv departing 09:40 arriving 16:30.
