LEVEL and IAG Cargo announce the resumption of their flights on the Barcelona – New York route for passengers and cargo.
The route between Barcelona and New York is one of the airline’s most prominent routes and provides an important connection between America and South Europe, for both passengers and cargo. LEVEL and IAG Cargo will resume BCN-JFK operations on September 11th with a weekly frequency and the use of LEVEL’s A330-200 model.

Another of LEVEL’s most outstanding routes from its base in Barcelona is Buenos Aires. Currently, the company is working with the competent authorities to implement special flights to repatriate Spanish and Argentinean citizens while the restrictions in the air space do not allow regular flights. During the month of September, the company has launched a first special flight departing from Barcelona on September 16th. On the other hand, the return flight will take off from Buenos Aires on September 17th.
“From LEVEL we are very happy to resume our operations from Barcelona for passengers and cargo, contributing to the extensive freight network of IAG Cargo, made possible by the synergies of the Group”, said Lucía Adrover, Commercial Director of LEVEL.

On the other hand, John Cheetham, Commercial Director of IAG Cargo, comments: “We are pleased that LEVEL can resume its operations and transport passengers again. The increase in commercial flights means more opportunities for IAG Cargo customers. We look forward to supplying these important markets with much-needed air cargo capacity.
To celebrate LEVEL’s expected return to operations from Barcelona, IAG Cargo is offering customers who are members of the FORWARD.REWARDS loyalty program the opportunity to earn double reward points for cargo shipped on the BCN-JFK route between August 28th and September 28th.
Since the start of the pandemic, IAG Cargo has established a network of over 340 scheduled cargo-only flights per week and reconfigured aircraft to maximize cargo capacity for its customers. The company will continue to provide these services along with cargo capacity on passenger flights as passenger traffic increases.
Following the temporary cessation of its commercial operations due to the coronavirus crisis (COVID-19), the airline has adopted the prevention measures recommended by the authorities through special protocols put in place to ensure the safety of its passengers at all times.
