Venezuela: Maiquetia airport obtains biosafety certification from the ACI.

The Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía (Venezuela) received certification of compliance with the biosafety measures by covid-19, applied in the international air terminal, by the Airport Health Accreditation program of the Airports Council International (ACI).

This way Maiquetía is placed in the international standards of civil aeronautics in this health matter.

The ACI congratulated Maiquetía Airport in a statement. It points out that “after reviewing the evidence presented through our evaluation process, your airport has demonstrated that it is providing a safe airport experience for all travelers, which is in line with the recommended health measures, established in the ACI’s aviation business restart and recovery guidelines and the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Council’s aviation recovery task,” the statement said.

“This certification is valid for the next 12 months. The Airport Health program is designed to help assure the traveling public that airport facilities remain safe and that precautions are being taken to reduce any risk to their health. We are confident that your efforts will help us achieve this common goal.

The information was made known by the airport of Maiquetía, through its social networks where it highlights the work of adaptation of the areas of boarding, disembarkation, connecting corridors, lockers, access doors and other of were applied disinfection booths and temperature, indicative of distance, acrylic stops, among other biosecurity protocols, during the months of cessation of commercial activities by the covid-19.
