FAA issues the first certificate for Boeing 737 MAX since 2019.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has issued its first airworthiness certificate for a Boeing 737 MAX built since March 2019, the agency said Tuesday.
On Nov. 18, the FAA lifted a 20-month hold order on the MAX after two fatal accidents.

Boeing has about 450 737 MAX aircraft that have been built since 2019 and are awaiting FAA approval before they can be delivered to airlines, Reuters reported.
“We hope to have enough inspectors on hand to meet Boeing’s planned delivery schedule for the foreseeable future. We will refer to Boeing to discuss the company’s manufacturing and delivery plans,” said FAA spokesperson Lynn Lunsford.
