Alaska Airlines announced Thursday that it will operate two new routes from its key Southern California hubs that will begin flying this spring.

The airline will launch daily nonstop service between Los Angeles and Austin on March 18, increasing daily frequencies to three from May 20. And one daily nonstop flight between San Diego and New York’s JFK starting April 4.

“Southern California is an integral part of the Alaska Airlines network and continues to offer valuable opportunities for selective expansion. These two new routes enhance our guest offering in Southern California while providing valuable connectivity to our global partners by joining oneworld on March 31st,” said Brett Catlin, vice president of network and alliances for Alaska Airlines.
In 2020, the airline added 12 new routes from Los Angeles Airport. With the new flight to Austin, Alaska Airlines will fly to more than 40 nonstop destinations from LAX this spring.
