Boeing announced Tuesday that BBAM Limited Partnership is expanding its fleet of B737-800 converted freighters with six firm and six optional orders. The agreement brings BBAM’s 737-800BCF orders and commitments to 15 and highlights the continued strength of the e-commerce and express freight market.
“As we look to the future to expand our cargo fleet, the 737-800 Boeing Converted Freighter provides the performance and efficiency our customers need. Adding these large-capacity freighters to the 276 Boeing aircraft in our managed fleet helps to further strengthen our market leadership position,” said Steve Zissis, BBAM CEO.
Based on the popular 737 Next-Generation, the 737-800BCF is meeting customer demand for a next-generation freighter that offers greater reliability and lower fuel consumption and operating costs per trip compared to other standard freighters.
