Brazil’s Gol Líneas Aéreas celebrating 20th anniversary.

Today, January 15, the Brazilian company Gol Líneas Aéreas celebrates 20 years of operations. The low-cost company reached the country’s skies in 2001, with the proposal of democratizing aviation and launching a new business model, with a standardized fleet, agile service and direct distribution.

Gol went through important moments such as the purchase of Varig and Smiles, the beginning of international flights, the partnership with Delta Air Lines and later replaced by one with American Airlines, the growth of the fleet, the first airline in the world to restart commercial flights with the 737 Max last December, two changes in the logo and the position of the largest airline in domestic passenger transport and leader in the corporate market.

To celebrate its 20th anniversary, the company launched a national ticket offer starting at R$ 99.90, in addition to discounts on baggage handling and free wi-fi on board. The promotion began this Thursday and will end next Monday, January 18.

For international flights, the company has offers from R$ 998.90, with boarding fees included. The promotion covers flights operated during March 28 and June 20, between August 5 and September 2 and between September 9 and 30.
