Most flights to and from the New York area have been canceled Monday due to the passage of a powerful winter storm.

More than 151 flights (70%) of scheduled departures from John F. Kennedy International Airport have been canceled as have 106 flights (90%) from LaGuardia Airport, FlightAware indicates. More than 162 flights (70%) of departures from Newark Liberty International Airport were also canceled.
Several airlines said they will not charge fare differences to travelers affected by the winter storm.
