Oakland International Airport this week became the first in the United States to sell COVID test kits in vending machines. Kiosks located in the airport’s two terminals offer kits to perform at home.

The RT-PCT saliva test asks customers to send a sample via FedEx and get the results on a cell phone app.
Covid test kits range from $130 to $150.

“As one of the first airports to offer rapid on-site COVID testing, we are now providing even more testing options for travelers. We continue to urge travelers to make sure they are aware of any quarantines and regulations at their destinations,” said Bryant L. Francis, Director of Aviation at the Port of Oakland.
