The International Airport of Maiquetia, Venezuela’s main airport, opened a private laboratory to perform PCR tests to passengers arriving in the country. The cost of the test will be US$ 60.

The information was released on Tuesday, March 2 by Laser, Avior and Rutaca Airlines, reported El Nacional.
In a press release, the companies said that the Casalab laboratory at Maiquetia Airport will be available to perform PCR (nasal swab) tests on all passengers on a mandatory basis.

The measure will begin to be implemented on Wednesday, March 3.
The $60 fee must be paid in cash and must be delivered to the personnel of the clinic.
The companies detailed that the website pasedesalud.casalab.com.ve is also available to users, where passengers must register before starting their return trip to the country and follow the steps indicated therein.
“We ratify that, at the time of embarking to Venezuela, the presentation of the swabbed PCR test remains in force, in accordance with the procedures already established by the national aeronautical authority,” the statement concludes.
