The Spanish airline Air Europa has strengthened its presence in Central America this week by resuming its route to Panama from Madrid and doubling its presence in Honduras with a new weekly frequency to San Pedro Sula, thus reaching the same level of operations in this destination as before the pandemic.

Until now, the company operated to the Honduran city only on Thursdays, and from this week it will also operate on Mondays. On the other hand, the route to Panama will have two weekly frequencies, Tuesdays and Sundays, which represents 40% of the operations before Covid, EuropaPress reported.
With the opening of the route to Panama, Air Europa has been operating more than 80% of its long-haul routes since this week, which it intends to reestablish in full progressively when the limitations are removed.
