Ryanair said Friday it carried 5.3 million passengers in June, up from 400,000 in the same month a year earlier, when restrictions due to the Covid pandemic were tighter.

The company indicated that it operated more than 38,000 flights during the past month, while the occupancy rate stood at 72%.
The progress of vaccination against Covid-19 and the lifting of some travel restrictions in the European Union (EU) has allowed Ryanair to progressively increase its passenger traffic in recent months.
