Icelandic airline PLAY announced Wednesday that it will fly between Reykjavik and Orlando, Florida, starting September 30.
PLAY will operate the route three times a week on Airbus A321LR aircraft.
→ Play Airlines will start flights to New York in June.
Orlando will be the airline’s fourth U.S. destination after Boston, Baltimore/Washington DC and New York, which will begin operations from spring/summer 2022.
“I am convinced that our arrival in Orlando will shake up the Iceland-Florida market. After studying our competitors’ pricing on flights to and from Orlando, we are confident that we can offer much lower prices on this popular route, which benefits a huge market,” said Birgir Jónsson, CEO of PLAY.
