Within the framework of ANATO’s Vitrina Turística, which is being held in Bogota from today until February 25, Avianca announced that for the start of the summer season it will offer its customers more than 20% additional capacity with the operation of more than 3,800 weekly flights and 128 routes worldwide, and will strengthen the most complete air network in Colombia and one of the largest in Latin America with the entry into operation of 13 additional routes.
Avianca remains committed to providing more direct connectivity to its customers. Therefore, after inaugurating 19 new routes during 2021, this year it will continue to strengthen its network with non-stop domestic and international flights from cities such as Medellin, Cali and Cartagena to the best destinations in Costa Rica, the United States and Mexico.
In addition, the company announced the restart of 4 routes to fly from Colombia to Europe and the United States from the last week of March, with the return of the iconic Bogota-London route as a major milestone, with which Avianca once again connects Latin America directly with the United Kingdom. The airline will operate 14 flights a week and will offer more than 3,500 seats per week between the two cities flying on its Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
“We remain committed to the national and international connectivity of Colombia, which has been Avianca’s home for more than 100 years, and of Latin America with the rest of the world. With the inauguration and reactivation of these 13 routes in the country, we strengthen our presence in destinations such as Mexico City, New York, Miami and Orlando in North America; San José in Central America; and Madrid and London in Europe. In this way we are advancing towards our goal of inaugurating 50 new routes in three years and consolidating ‘Avianca for all’ with competitive prices and a product tailored to each customer,” said Ana María Copete, Avianca’s Director of Sales for Colombia.
