Russia’s United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) may increase the production of Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft to 40 units per year, the Industry and Trade Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday following the minister Denis Manturov’s meeting with representatives of the sector devoted to the current situation in civil aircraft construction, TASS agency reported.

“The discussion mainly focused on issues of import substitution of components,” the ministry said, adding that “the current production capacities allow boosting the production of Superjet 100 aircraft to 40 units per year, this is the level to which we will try to bring the production of the substituted version in coming years.”
Earlier, UAC announced plans to produce 32 SSJ 100 jets and three МС-21 units this year.
