Under the name “LATAM Lounge”, the LATAM Group opened on Monday the doors of a space dedicated to preferential passengers and airline partners, so they can wait for their flight departure or connection to their destination. The new proposal, which replaces the old VIP lounge, will offer a more sustainable service with a strong Latin American influence.

“Our customers are always driving our decisions, and we continue to advance an experience where everyone can choose what is important to their trip. Aware of that, we have driven changes and innovations in our new Lounge to create a space that highlights the best of our region and where there are options for everyone to enjoy their time as they see fit,” said LATAM Airlines Group Vice President of Customers, Paulo Miranda.
In line with the group’s commitment to integrate sustainability throughout its operations, the new Lounge has important sustainable attributes, including the use of 80% renewable energy for its operation, interactive games with educational themes around recycling and conservation, waste reduction through recycling and reuse, and the offsetting of its carbon footprint through conservation projects of unique ecosystems in the region.

In this respect, the executive pointed out that “this represents another step forward in the group’s sustainability strategy, which we are convinced must be an integral aspect in all our areas. It must guide us and be at the center of what we do”.
The new space also features a series of art sculptures made mostly from recycled materials by emerging South American artists. Ximena Guzmán (Chile), Sofía Donován (Argentina) and Percy Zorrilla (Peru) are among the 21 artists who will exhibit their works in the new showroom.
In addition, the services offered to passengers will be renewed, ranging from lockers for hand luggage, sleeping area, special area for children and families, showers, open bar, buffet with Latin American cuisine, ironing service, shoe shine and co-working areas.
The new Lounge is available to all passengers traveling or connecting on international flights. The space is located in the new Terminal 2 of the Santiago de Chile Airport, and as of today is open to all LATAM Pass frequent flyer program passengers in the Black Signature, Black and Platinum categories, passengers flying in the Premium cabin, partner airline passengers and commercial partners.
