Russian national carrier Aeroflot has been suspended from SkyTeam, the alliance said in a statement Wednesday.
“SkyTeam and Aeroflot have agreed to temporarily suspend the airline’s membership in the alliance. We are working to limit the impact for customers and will inform those affected of any changes to alliance benefits and services.”
→ Russia plans produce 72 MC-21 and up to 30 Super Sukhoi Jets per year.
This comes about two months after Russia began its invasion of Ukraine.
Recall that Aeroflot joined SkyTeam in 2006 and was the seventh airline to join the alliance.
