It also becomes the first operator of the direct Medellin – Buenos Aires route, which will also be the gateway to connect Argentine travelers with the rest of the continent, to cities such as Miami, Mexico City, Cancun and Punta Cana, through its Hub Medellin.
“The opening of Buenos Aires as Viva’s new international destination is particularly important for us and for me as an Argentinean, as we will be the only airline operating the Medellin-Buenos Aires route directly and best of all, with our characteristic low fares that will make this destination more accessible for Colombians. In addition, thanks to this new connection, Argentine citizens will be able to connect with Miami in very short stopovers from our Medellin Hub, and will also be able to enjoy our network of international destinations in the center and north of the continent,” said Felix Antelo, CEO of Grupo Viva.
→ Viva reaches 45 domestic routes with launch of Cali-Cúcuta route.
The new routes, which will begin operations on June 15, 2022, will arrive at Ezeiza International Airport and expect to transport 140,000 passengers in their first year of operations.
