Bogota’s El Dorado the best airport in South America, according to Skytrax
Bogota’s El Dorado International Airport has been chosen as the best airport in South America by Skytrax, the British organization in charge of evaluating the service offered by airports around the world.
El Dorado obtained a score that places it above airports in cities such as Lima, Santiago, Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo.

Skytrax, annually conducts a worldwide user satisfaction survey, to know their experience regarding airport products and services such as: signage, passenger experience from check in, arrivals, transfers between terminals, shopping, security checks and immigration services to departure at the boarding gate.
Andrés Ortega, General Manager of OPAIN, indicated that this recognition is not only for the concessionaire but for the entire airport community that makes the terminal’s operation possible. “We are the best airport in South America thanks to the work and effort of this great team of collaborators and allies of the airport community. This is another example of the commitment we have made at El Dorado to create relevant connections through innovation, technology and service. We will continue to work daily to raise our standards in each of the categories that are evaluated today and to obtain new achievements for the country,” he concluded.
