JetBlue announced Thursday a partnership with Blade, a global urban air mobility platform, that will add new benefits to its TrueBlue loyalty program. This is intended to bring even more value to the program by offering customers more options when traveling to or from the airport when flying with the airline.

“We know that the JetBlue journey begins long before our customers board one of our flights, so we’re making the entire travel experience even easier and more rewarding,” said Chris Buckner, vice president of loyalty and associations, JetBlue. “This partnership with Blade will help us continue to evolve and enhance our TrueBlue program so our most loyal customers can enjoy more benefits more often.”

Blade offers helicopter transfers between Manhattan and John F. Kennedy International Airport and Newark Liberty International Airport. Travel times to both airports can take as little as five minutes.

JetBlue opens its first destination in Canada.

Available now, JetBlue Mosaic members will receive credits redeemable for complimentary seats on helicopter transfers through the new partnership when connecting to or from JetBlue flights.

Beginning July 1, JetBlue Mosaic members will receive 25% off their first trip to the airport and TrueBlue members will receive 10% off their first trip when connecting to or from JetBlue flights.

“We look forward to enabling loyal JetBlue travelers to fly between the city and area airports in as little as five minutes,” said Melissa Tomkiel, president of Blade. “Given its roots in New York City, JetBlue is an ideal partner as we continue to grow our Blade Airport service to six days a week and up to 13 hours a day in New York City.”

JetBlue becomes the only US airline to offer such an airport transfer partnership and will provide TrueBlue members with access to Blade through 2023.
