Go First has grounded more than a fifth of its fleet on engine shortage
Low-cost airline Go First, based in Mumbai, India, has grounded more than a fifth of its fleet due to delays in engine deliveries by Pratt & Whitney, three companies told the Economic Times. people familiar with the matter.
The airline has grounded around a dozen of its 57 planes for weeks as it awaits delivery of upgraded versions of the PW1100G engines that power the A320neo.

Go First, formerly GoAir, had shipped the older engines to the US manufacturer in January and upgraded versions would be delivered in five months, one of the people said. The manufacturer has now assured the airline that the new engines would arrive this week.
Grounding a significant number of planes has affected Go First’s operations at a time when demand for air travel is increasing.
Manufacturers around the world today are facing supply chain challenges.
