The Spanish Iberia has once again placed itself in June at the top of the punctuality podium. This is confirmed by the international consulting firm Cirium -previously known as FlightStats-.
During the month of June, 81.34% of the 13,196 flights operated by the airline arrived at their destination on time, which places it as the most punctual among European airlines.
→ Iberia moves its operations to London-Heathrow T3.
This result is a reflection of the commitment and effort of the Iberia teams to face a particularly difficult summer as a result of the situation in some of the European airports, which are experiencing operational problems and are being forced to reduce and cancel flights.
As this is the first summer without restrictions and a great demand was expected, Iberia decided in March to oversize its staff, especially in airports between 5% and 10% above the capacity deployed by the companies to which Attending. This has been a decisive factor in “cushioning”, at least for the time being, the situation at European and US airports and protecting the punctuality of their flights.
The Cirium ranking also places Iberia as the fifth most punctual network airline in the world in the month of June.
