A big surprise came to the passengers of LATAM Airlines flight LA706 bound for Madrid to celebrate the premiere of the series La Casa del Dragón, a prequel to HBO’s original Game of Thrones. The more than 250 passengers were received with hosts, gifts and even a greeting from the captain in the Valyrian language to finally be able to see the first chapter of the series at 30,000 feet.

LATAM, in association with HBO Max, broadcast the first full episode to passengers who flew this Tuesday on three of the company’s routes to Madrid (from Santiago, São Paulo and Lima). The Spanish capital was chosen for the onboard exhibition because its sets served as the setting for the series, with its castles, valleys, hills and beaches.

The passengers, in addition to being the first to see the new series on board a flight, were received in the departure lounge and plane with greetings in the Valyrian language, in addition to receiving gifts from the LATAM group such as a pin from the hand of the king, a chocolate dragon egg, a luggage tag referring to the ‘House of the Dragon’, among others.

The action aims to bring LATAM closer to its customers, in line with the concept of the company’s new brand – “LATAM without borders” – which seeks to connect with people in a simpler, more horizontal and relevant way.
