Air Canada launches two new routes to the U.S. from Halifax and Vancouver
Air Canada on Monday announced new cross-border flights on the Halifax-Newark and Vancouver-Houston routes beginning in December, offering easy onward connections through its global networks and partner United Airlines.
The new Halifax-Newark route will begin on December 16, 2022 and will operate daily with Air Canada Express Q-400 aircraft.

The Vancouver-Houston route will also begin on December 16 and will operate daily flights on Airbus A220 aircraft.
“With these new routes from Halifax and Vancouver, Air Canada is meeting demand in these important markets and building on our strengthened cross-border partnership with United Airlines to consolidate our market leadership in Canada and the United States,” said Mark Galardo, Air Canada’s Senior Vice President, Network Planning and Revenue Management.
Air Canada is the foreign airline with the largest number of flights to the United States. Including these new routes, the carrier’s U.S. network will be 6% above capacity in 2019 (pre-pandemic) by the 2023 summer season.
