Avianca inaugurates Buenos Aires-San José route, via Quito
Moving forward with its plans to strengthen a point-to-point network from Ecuador, Avianca inaugurated the Buenos Aires-San José route, via Quito.
Flight AV646 took off from Ezeiza Ministro Pistarini International Airport at 06:05. The aircraft transported 102 passengers to Mariscal Sucre Airport in Quito and Juan Santamaría Airport in San José. This is the second route the airline operates from Buenos Aires.

“This route brings new opportunities for the Argentine traveler who now has two new destinations to visit: in Ecuador, Quito and the Galapagos Islands are unique attractions recognized by Unesco as cultural and natural heritage, respectively; and Costa Rica offers beaches, volcanoes and biodiversity as a different alternative. But it also allows us to boost inbound tourism to Argentina,” said Gustavo Esusy, Avianca’s Commercial Manager for Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay.
So far this year, Avianca has mobilized more than 200,000 passengers to/from Buenos Aires with 14 weekly frequencies to Bogota and connections.
