Icelandic airline PLAY announced Thursday that it will operate direct flights between Iceland and the city of Porto from April 2023, its second destination in Portugal after flying to Lisbon in the summer.
→ Condor offers new service to book overhead compartments.
The route will operate twice weekly on Airbus A320 aircraft, and will be the first time an airline has offered scheduled direct flights between Iceland and Porto.
“We want to be the leading airline between Iceland and the Iberian Peninsula, and we are working to achieve this by adding Porto as a destination in 2023. We will continue our services to Lisbon next year, with the Portuguese capital being one of PLAY’s most popular destinations in 2022,” said Birgir Jónsson, CEO of PLAY.
