Venezuelan state-owned airline Conviasa presented this Monday an offer of tourist packages to travel to Qatar from Caracas and enjoy the round of 16 and quarter-final matches of the World Cup, according to a press release issued by the company.
The packages include a direct flight from Maiquetia International Airport, which serves Caracas, and an eight-day stay in the Arab nation so that “tourists can live the euphoria of the World Cup”, said the text, which does not detail the costs.

However, an advertisement published on the airline’s web page states that a round trip ticket from Caracas to Doha costs from US$ 1,990, although the fares available on the site are higher than US$ 2,800.
Through a travel agency, Conviasa is promoting this package which includes a direct flight of 13 hours in Airbus A340 aircrafts, with capacity to transport 311 passengers, with departure dates between the first and second week of December.
So far, neither Conviasa nor the agency in charge of promoting this package, Conviajes, have informed the total prices of this offer, which also does not make clear whether it includes the entrance tickets for the games in question, reported EFE.
