Iberojet, the airline of Ávoris Corporación Empresarial, inaugurated this Wednesday its direct flight between Madrid and Palmerola International Airport, which serves the city of Tegucigalpa (Honduras). This route will operate with two weekly frequencies (Wednesday and Saturday) throughout the year, on Airbus A350 aircraft.

With this operation, Iberojet aims to diversify its destination ratio and offer the Spanish and European market the opportunity to get to know Honduras and its Caribbean regions, such as the paradisiacal island of Roatan. In addition, this flight offers the option of going further afield and visiting neighboring countries, such as Belize and Guatemala, two destinations bordering Honduras, bathed by the Caribbean Sea, famous for their tropical jungle, white sandy beaches and Mayan culture.
“This first inaugural flight to Palmerola International Airport has been a great success. Its high occupancy rate demonstrates the importance of offering the Spanish market different and attractive alternatives to enjoy their vacations. Such is the case of Honduras, a country that offers a multitude of travel experiences, overflowing nature and a culture rich in heritage,” said Paul Verhagen, Iberojet’s deputy general manager.
