EgyptAir becomes first African airline to take delivery of the Airbus A321neo
EgyptAir has taken delivery of its first A321neo at the Airbus Delivery Center in Hamburg, becoming the first African operator of this model.
The aircraft was leased from AerCap and is powered by CFM engines.
The airline has configured the A321neo with two classes, with 16 seats in Business Class and 166 in Economy.

The aircraft thus joins EgyptAir’s Airbus fleet of 12 A220s, 8 A320neo, 2 A320ceo, 4 A330-200s, 4 A330-300s.
Airbus reported that the delivery flight from Hamburg to Cairo was flown with a 34% Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) blend.
