JetBlue on Wednesday announced new service between Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and Tallahassee beginning in January 2024, as the airline outlines new plans for more flights in South Florida. Following its planned merger with Spirit Airlines, JetBlue expects to reach more than 250 daily flights at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood by 2027.

“As a customer-centric alternative to the high-fare legacy airlines that dominate South Florida, we have achieved rapid growth in Fort Lauderdale and are poised to drive further expansion once we merge with Spirit,” said Robin Hayes, CEO of JetBlue.
Broward County’s master plan for further development of Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport would allow JetBlue to increase capacity to more than 250 daily flights. The airline has already committed its support for a new Terminal 5 and is willing to work with the airport on a new expansion to increase capacity.
