LifeMiles, Avianca’s loyalty program and one of the most awarded in the Americas, is renewed this year to provide new benefits to its Elite members and facilitate Elite Status qualification by allowing all accumulated miles to add up to progress.

Avianca updated its pet transportation policy

“For this year, we have made changes to the program that respond to what our customers asked of us in 2022. We expanded the benefits of the Elite program and did what we could to make those benefits easier to use. Now it’s easier than ever to qualify for or maintain Elite status and as of January 1, all miles earned by flying Avianca, using co-branded credit cards and all the options we have add up to Elite status,” said Matt Vincett, CEO of LifeMiles.

Some of the main innovations brought by the company are:

  • New alternatives to earn qualifying miles to obtain Elite status: to the option of earning miles for traveling on Avianca or Star Alliance member airlines now also adds the accumulation when using LifeMiles debit or credit cards, the LifeMiles Pay platform (available in Colombia), subscribing to LifeMiles Club, for purchases in allied stores and for the purchase of miles, among others.
  • 5% mileage reimbursement for Elite members when redeeming miles for Avianca flights in LifeMiles.com that are credited to their account. This benefit applies to purchases in all sizes for the member and tickets issued to third parties from the member’s account. It is valid on promotional mileage and without annual maximums or date restrictions.
  • Easier access to benefits for your flight: depending on your Elite status, each member will receive a fixed amount of benefits such as access to Avianca Lounges, Premium seat selection or upgrades to business class on flights to and from Europe* and will be able to manage them more easily.
