EasyJet has announced the reopening of its Generation EasyJet Pilot Training program for the 2023 intake of approximately 200 aspiring pilots.
The program is delivered in partnership with CAE and provides applicants with the highest standards of training to become qualified commercial airline pilots in around two years.
Ground training is provided at CAE’s European aviation academies in Gatwick, Milan, Brussels or Madrid, and flight training at CAE Phoenix in the United States. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates begin their careers flying with easyJet.

A cohort of cadet pilots selected when the program reopened in January 2022 is already in training. Applications are now being accepted for programs starting in December 2023 and graduating in 2026.
More than 1,000 new pilots are expected to join easyJet over the next five years. The airline continues to encourage people from diverse backgrounds to apply, including a focus on attracting more female pilots, as part of its commitment to increasing diversity in all forms across the company and continuing to create an inclusive culture for all.
“We are delighted to have opened applications for this year’s Generation EasyJet Pilot Training Program, as part of our plan to recruit and train 1,000 new pilots by 2027,” commented Captain David Morgan, easyJet’s Chief Operating Officer.
To enroll in the Generation EasyJet Pilot Training Program, aspiring pilots must be 18 years of age or older at the time training begins and must present certificates showing that they have passed High School / Secondary Mathematics / English / any Science subject, along with 2 other subjects – no higher qualifications or degrees are required.
