Panama’s Copa Airlines launched a new route that will connect Panama City with Barquisimeto as of October 17, 2023, becoming the airline’s fifth destination in Venezuela.
The route will operate three times a week (Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday) on Boeing 737-800 aircraft with capacity for 154 passengers, 16 in business class and 138 in economy class, and fares starting at US$392 roundtrip (taxes included).

Flights will take off from Panama at 09:13, arriving in Barquisimeto at 12:17 (local time). From Jacinto Lara Airport they will depart at 13:28, landing in Tocumen at 14:32 (local time).
The launch of this new route consolidates Copa Airlines and Panama as the airline and the most relevant and important international connection point of Venezuela with the rest of the continent, operating 38 weekly frequencies from 5 destinations: Caracas with 3 daily flights, Valencia 7 weekly frequencies, Maracaibo with 4 weekly frequencies, Barcelona with 3 weekly frequencies, and now, Barquisimeto with 3 weekly frequencies through the Hub of the Americas, located at Tocumen International Airport in Panama.
