Icelandair and Turkish Airlines announced Sunday that they have signed a codeshare agreement, allowing the two airlines to offer seamless connections to their customers and expand the number of destinations on both carriers’ networks.
Icelandair passengers in North America and Iceland will be able to connect eastbound on the Turkish Airlines network to Istanbul; and Turkish Airlines passengers will be able to connect westbound on the Icelandair network to Iceland and Canada.

This agreement significantly increases both airlines’ offering of convenient connections where customers can travel on a single ticket and check their baggage through to their final destination.
“We are pleased to sign this codeshare agreement with Icelandair, with which we aim to enhance the travel options we offer our passengers across our networks,” said Bilal Ekşi, CEO of Turkish Airlines.
“We are delighted to announce that Turkish Airlines, the airline that flies to the most countries in the world, is our latest codeshare partner. Our strategy is to partner with airlines that focus on similar customer service and open up new and exciting opportunities for our customers,” commented Bogi Nils Bogason, CEO of Icelandair.
