PLAY Airlines inaugurated Thursday the new route between Reykjavik (Iceland) and Toronto, its first destination in Canada and the fifth in North America, after Boston, Baltimore, New York and Washington DC.
The route will operate daily flights on Airbus A320 family aircraft, allowing travelers to connect to Canada from Iceland and Europe.

“Making our first flight to Toronto is a major milestone for PLAY. We have been working on launching this destination for a long time and I am very proud to see that the hard work of my colleagues has paid off,” says Birgir Jónsson, CEO of PLAY.
PLAY began operations on June 24, 2021, and over the past two years, the airline has been working on the foundation of its operations and today presents itself as a reliable company that offers consumers the ability to spend less on their airline tickets and more at their destination.
